    The Small Project Manager will be responsible and accountable for the overall results of the project and the achievement of project objectives as they relate to the business opportunity. Project Management is the key role to lead the cross-functional project team through all phases of the project.

    Responsibilities/Duties.

    • Leads the project team and is responsible for project deliverables and implementation and adherence to all relevant work processes.
    • Develops a project scope that meets the requirements of the business opportunity and ensures stakeholders are in compliance with the scope through functional reviews.
    • Ensures the cost estimate adequately represents the project scope and manages expenditures within approved budgets and spending plans.
    • Works closely with management to secure funding through the approval process.
    • Ensures project plan is based on solid data and aligns with business objectives. Closely monitors progress against baseline plans.
    • Ensures EH&S plans are developed and implemented to achieve EH&S goals, including construction safety.
    • Ensures plans are in place to allow smooth transition of project to operations and maintenance.
    • Works with department managers to secure lead resources and once assigned, ensures staffing plans are developed and monitored against the plan.
    • Ensures effective communication and coordination between the project team and key stakeholders. Provides regular updates on scope, objectives, costs, progress against plan, and risks.
    • Utilizes and enforces the project change management program, including obtaining DOA approvals in accordance with the process.
    • Fosters a work environment with a high level of integrity and a strong focus on safety that embraces diversity and inclusion, innovation and sustainability, and continuous improvement and empowerment.

    Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree and experience in project management, engineering, manufacturing or related field required.

    • Applies Global Project Methodology (GPM) and Process Automation Work Process Discipline.

  • The Construction Manager has overall accountability for the management and administration of construction contracts for EPCm projects. The Construction Manager leads the construction management work process, demonstrates competency with directing teams, staffing, planning and construction execution on their assigned projects. The Construction Manager has the primary accountability to ensure that construction of facilities meet Environment Health & Safety (EH&S), quality, schedule, and cost requirements.

    Responsibilities Include:

    • ​Assist in the development of integrated schedules (Engineering, Construction and Turnaround). Ensure that Construction schedules are met or that discrepancies are communicated timely.
    • ​Minimize start-up and operability issues through the use of Quality Plans.
    • ​Drives utilization of Dow’s best practices and Most Effective Technology (MET) on all projects.

    Competencies:

    • ​Proficiency in Microsoft applications, such as Power Point and Excel, and can learn new systems quickly.

    Required Qualifications:

  • The Dow Chemical Company is looking for a campus graduate to join the Research Assignment Program (RAP).

     

    The RAP Position:

    This program offers exciting opportunities to candidates (m/f) willing to accelerate their career development by leading challenging R&D projects in various industrial fields during a 21-month rotational program. As a new Dow employee, you will be based/hired in Seneffe (Belgium) and will initiate the program in your home base location with a 9-month rotation, which will be followed by two 6-months rotations in other Dow groups and potentially other EU locations. Each phase of the program will give candidates the chance to:

    The home location position

    At the end of the program, you will come back to your base location (Seneffe) in the Process Research & Development organization as a Senior Research Specialist. This research engineer position is focused on new product commercialization and process technology development in support of the silicone emulsions, compounds and sealant products and process technologies. Polymer technologies could also be within area of responsibility per project needs. It is a high-growth area covering a broad range of silicone product for home and personal care, consumers and industrial applications. Core process technology involves blending and high viscosity compounding.  Many of the specialty products in this area also require stringent quality control and special finishing or packaging. The candidate will support and/or lead multiple projects of variable duration with a focus on fundamental understanding, experimental investigation, practical technology scale-up, and implementation to manufacturing.  The projects will be time driven and often involve working cross functionally with Product Development, TS&D, and Tech Center/M&E to develop customer-focused solutions. It is essential that the candidate understands all aspects of safety, including process safety, reactive chemicals, and industrial hygiene.  Opportunities exist for role expansion and becoming a subject matter expert based on development of relevant expertise.

    Our full-time Supply Chain development program is designed to challenge you and shape your career. While serving Dow’s manufacturing, logistics operations and commercial department in the EMEAI region, you will:
